This weekend was a rather relaxing one. Paul's parents stopped by and spent Friday night at our house on their way to the Keys. It was stormy night so we ordered some pizza and just stayed home watching TV. Before they headed out to the Keys Saturday morning, we had a family breakfast (us, Paul's parents, my parents and grandparents) at of course, La Carreta.
For the second Saturday in a row, we went shopping with one of my sisters. Katie did not join us this weekend, only Cristy came along. This week we bought no clothes, our only purchase was at Best Buy.
As for today, Sunday, we are at home getting chores done. Working on the computers, cleaning up the house and getting ready for the upcoming work week.

Last Tuesday started out rather strangely. Paul called me at home to let me now that there was a dog hanging out in our front yard. Paul was heading to the dentist in Boca, so it was all up to me to deal with our new found pet. When I got outside, the dog was larger than I had bargained for and I got a bit nervous so I called my dad to bring over some dog food, and give me a hand looking at the tags on his neck. Turns out that the dog was extremely friendly, and I was able to look at his tags. There was no name or address on the tags, but there was a rabies tag with an id number. By the time my dad got to my house the dog was following me around everywhere. Mind you this all happened before 8:00 am.
While at work all I could think about was how the dog was doing and who did he belong to. My dad would drive by the house every once in a while to check on the dog. My dad took a real liking to this dog. I finally had a break at work and called animal control and gave them the rabies shot number, and they gave me the phone number of the owner.
Turns out the dog's name was Tucker and he had been missing for a week. He had escaped his house when the construction workers left the gate opened. He appeared to be trying to find his old house. Tucker must have had quite an adventure getting to my house. He crossed two major roads (Miller and Sunset) traveling about 2 miles. Later in the day the owner came by to pick up Tucker. Tucker was overjoyed to see his owner, jumping all over her and wagging his tail. I think my dad was secretly hoping that we could keep Tucker. He was a great dog.

Well, the house is nearly finished, just a few small things left. Thanks to everyone, the house is truly becoming a home. Next step: moving in, but most of that will have to wait till after the wedding. Gloria and I both are excited that our day has come. See everyone Saturday!

Where have we been? Working on the new House!
The last couple weeks have been about the most stressful in our lives, but the most exciting, with more to come.
Some of the projects - Ripping out the carpet, and getting tile installed, repainting practically every wall, crown molding, rewire for satellite, and more. Thanks to all the friends and family who have stopped by and helped out, it could not have been done without ya.
Other events - Gloria had her Wedding Shower - lots of fun from what I hear ;)
The wedding is almost around the corner...

Hopefully we will be able to throw a birthday bash for Paul and I in January. Can't wait to show everyone our new home!!!
