Paul's parents came to visit us this weekend, before they went on their cruise. Unfortunately for them, on their way over, the car broke down and they had to wait about 2 hours for a tow. After that incident, everything else was smooth. We had dinner at La Carreta. On Easter Sunday, we went to church and had lunch at my parent's house. Sunday afternoon, we dropped Gene and Tina off at the Port of Miami for their 5 day cruise on NCL's Spirit. We hope they are having a good time and sunny weather.
As for us, My spring break is over. I am back to work this week. Also, the pool is being resurfaced, so right now it is empty and quite a mess. Paul will probably post some pictures of the progress on the pool.

On the weekend of October 22, Paul and I took a weekend cruise on Carnival's Fascination with some friends (Alex, Michelle, Brandon, and Trish). It was such a nice feeling to go straight from work to the ship and relax with a Pina Colada, some food and watch the ship sail away for a weekend getaway. We arrived in Nassau the Saturday morning and walked around the city looking at the shops and the straw market which had no roof due to the hurricanes. Later in the afternoon, we visited the Atlantis and went to the beach. The Atlantis is a gorgeous hotel. It has beautiful fish tanks, gardens, and its own private beach. Since we couldn't sneak into Atlantis's private beach we had to go next door to the public beach. Unfortunately, we were not able to get into the water because the ocean was too rough. We were barely even able to tan because the surf kept creeping closer to our sitting area. Eventually, we had to leave the beach because there was only about a 5 foot area were you could sit and not get soaked by the crushing waves. That evening we headed over to Senor Frogs which is right off the docks for a night out. We had all of Sunday at sea and arrived early Monday morning and went straight to work.
On Halloween weekend, we had a surprise party for Armando and Melissa at Javi and Luly's house. We were celebrating their upcoming wedding which happens to be this weekend. The whole gang was there and we had a great time. Halloween night was very busy at our house. We must have had over 40 trick or treaters. Every time I tried to sit down, relax, and watch TV the doorbell would ring. This is quite a change from last year at my parent's house where we had no trick or treaters.

We went to Chankanaab Park for some snorkeling. Good water, but not many fish. Later, we headed downtown for some shopping. Bought some green glasses and a pitcher for the house. We finally ended up at Carlos and Charlies for drinks and dancing.

Today we went out to Stingray city! Gloria was very nervous, but eventually was sorta ok. Paul got a lot of good pictures of the stingrays. The stingrays really liked Gloria after Paul rubbed squid juice on Gloria's back! All in all, we had a great time. Paul won a raffle for $100 gift certificate to Diamonds International - remember - Paul won it - lets see what we get tomorrow in Cozumel.

Took a boat trip for some snorkeling and to the Dunns River Falls. Tried out the new underwater case for the digital camera. Climbed up the waterfall the easy way - Gloria said I couldn't climb up the "fun" way - YES DEAR.

Today we took a beach and snorkeling tour out to St. Johns, an island next to St. Thomas. After a thrilling, wet, and bumpy 45 minute ferry ride, we arrived and took a bus out to Trunk Bay. Once there, we went out to the "snorkeling trail". Finally!, some good snorkeling, clear blue, calm water, and a beatiful day!!. A great end for a wonderful trip, see yall tomorrow!

We ventured off on our own today. We took a taxi to Dawn Beach, on the Dutch side of the island. Once there, we sunbathed and did a bit of snorkeling. Snorkeling wasn't great because the water was a bit rough, and was stirred up. We are looking forward to St. John's tomorrow.

We went by catamaran to a man-made beach, and spent most of our time sunning and reading. Later, we took a walk around the city, over a floating bridge, that began to open while we were crossing! Fun! So far, we are having a great time on the trip. Tomorrow is a day at sea, next stop is St. Maarten.

Our morning started out with a snorkeling tour to De Palm island. The snorkeling was average to say the least. Our day took a turn for the better, when we took a van tour of the island. We saw a volcanic hill, unique rock formations, the natural bridge (Atlantic Ocean carved out a bridge in the rocks), among other famous Aruba landmarks.
