Paul Andrew turned 2 years old on February 11. We celebrated his birthday on Saturday, February 6 at Gymboree. He had a great time climbing up the ramps, sliding down the slides, popping bubbles, jumping on the air log and playing under the parachute. He ate plenty of popcorn chicken, pizza, and some of his Paul Frank monkey cake. We all had a blast!

Paul Andrew turned 1 on February 11. We celebrated by eating cake and dinner at my parent's house. He sure does like cake.
Paul Andrew also went to the doctor for his year checkup. He is now weighing 20 pounds and is 31 1/4 inches long. He still is refusing to walk alone but is cruising around the entire house.

We celebrated Paul Andrew's 1st birthday at my parents house on January 31. The theme was farm animals. We had a little farm come out with a petting zoo and ponies to ride. The animals were adorable. They were all babies and some of them were even dressed with sweaters, scarves and bows. The kids had a great time feeding them seeds and milk from a bottle. The bounce house, cow tunnel and playground were also a big hit. Paul Andrew had a great time crawling around and playing with his friends.

On May 1, Alexa turned 1 year old. We celebrated by having the family over to cut a cake and have some dinner. Tina and Gene watched us sing Happy Birthday via iChat. Alexa had her own little cake that Publix gives for free. She really enjoyed the frosting.
On May 6, she had a party at my parent's house. We invited the family and some friends over to jump on the bounce house, play in the ball pit, crawl through the tunnel, pop the bubbles and eat some yummy food and cake. Alexa loved running around the yard and popping the bubbles. The heat did not slow her down one bit.
Alexa started walking on her own at 11 and a half months. Now she is running and carrying heavy objects while walking. The computer is one of her favorite toys. She loves to play with the mouse, bang on the keyboard and watch cartoons on YouTube. Her favorite word to use is "mas" which means more in Spanish.

On January 8, I celebrated my 29th birthday. One more year to the big 3-0! My family came over for some dinner, and then we sat down to watch the Gator game. The Gator's gave me a great present by winning the national championship game. Go Gators!
Less than a week later on January 14, Paul turned 30. His parents came over from Estero for the big day. We took Paul's parents out to PF Chang's for some delicious Chinese food. The next morning we headed out to Pinecrest Gardens (the old Parrot Jungle) to see some of the sights. We got to see an animal show, all the iguanas that roam around the lake, some very large trees, and ponds filled with Koi, turtles, tarpon, and cichlids.
Paul and I celebrated our birthdays with a nice dinner out (just the 2 of us) at Bonefish Grill. We had plenty of food and wine. It was a great night out.
Alexa is now 8 and a half months old. Boy is she growing quickly! She now can stand up by herself for a few seconds without holding on to any objects. Alexa has tried to take a few steps, but falls down very quickly. Her mouth now has 5 very cute teeth (2 on the bottom and 3 on the top). Her babbling has increased.. It seems like she is talking almost constantly now. "No" is one of the words she hears often, and now seems to understand its meaning.

January is birthday time again. Gloria turned 28 and Paul 29. We celebrated my birthday with lunch at Chilis then some chocolate mouse cake at home. Yummy!! Paul's birthday was the following weekend and his parents came down to spend it with us. We didn't even attempt to surprise him this year. On Saturday, my dad barbecued some steaks and we had some ice cream cake. Sunday, after church, we went to the Fairchild Tropical Gardens to see the Chihuly exhibit. The day was beautiful, and we had a very nice time walking around looking at the plants and the glass sculptures.
Alexa is doing well. My stomach keeps on growing. She has been very active, kicking and moving around.

We visited Estero, two weekends in a row. On the weekend of August 5, we went up for Dave's birthday. We arrived late Fridy night, sang happy birthday and then went to bed. Saturday, we did a little shopping at Best Buy and Michaels then headed over to Outback for some dinner. Our drive home on Sunday was pretty rotten, it rained about half the time.
The following weekend started with a night out at the Seminole Hard Rock and Casino. We went out with a group of friends, had dinner and drinks at some bars. I was kind of disappointed with the amount of smoke and those slot machines steal your money quicker than the ones at Vegas. Saturday midday we drove over to Estero, for Paul's 10 year high school reunion. I finally got to meet his friends from from high school. We had a good time.

On Friday, January 14th, was Paul's birthday.
Paul's parents came down from Estero to surprise him. The surprise didn't work out quite as expected because Paul saw the car hidden in my parents driveway. He didn't listen to me when I told him to park on the other side of the driveway. Tina and Gene brought us a gator cake with 55 candles (27 for me and 28 for Paul). After blowing out the candles, we went to have dinner at Palomilla Grill. The food as usual was good and over abundant.
On Saturday, we started the morning with breakfast at La Carreta, my favorite. We had a busy day of gardening ahead of us. We had a painter that would be coming on Sunday to paint the gate so we had to cut back all the trees that were up against the gate. We did a good three hours worth of yard work in the drizzling rain. Tina and Gene lent us a hand in the yard then headed back home in the afternoon.
Sunday night, we visited Christina and Jose's new house. They completely remodeled the interior and it looks amazing.
Today I have the day off from work but Paul doesn't. I have been all around running errands and doing housework. Tomorrow it's back to work as usual.
